- Summary: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a common injury that affects people of all walks of life. However, it affects each person differently based on unique biological and social characteristics. Our research applies a framework called PROGRESS-Plus to explore how characteristics like race, income, and residence, and others affect brain health after injury.

- Summary: Building on prior Alzheimer’s Association-funded work, this study investigates whether biological sex or socially constructed gender drives differences in dementia risk and progression following traumatic brain injury. Using matched cohorts and a novel Gender Score, we will build predictive models to inform future prevention strategies.
